Gretta's Journey

Gretta is an artist and an author.

She, her younger brother and sister have a rare genetic disability known as Chronic Disorder of the Glycosylation 1a has influenced both her artwork and her writing.

She has  a very individual style of painting with bright, happy colours in her seascapes.

Her “Enchanted Forest” series is a fantasy escape-world where everything is pretty and ordered. Her favourite characters - a dog or cat, pop up throughout.

It is a wonderful fairytale world of eternal sunshine, bright flowering plants and orchards and safe, little cottages nestled in the woods.

Gretta’s art style is constantly evolving and she is producing some lovely floral art works and eye-catching, quirky pictures.

Her passion for teaching children and adults not to bully or discriminate against anyone who is different has lead her to write children’s books.

Gretta’s second book, "Puppies Don’t Judge" has just been published and is available for sale at Seaside Artists Gallery and Gateway Properties. Reprints of her first book, “Anna-Just Being Me” is also available at those locations.

Gretta has lived in Redcliffe all her life and worked at the Redcliffe Library for many years.
She loves music, mega drive games, horror movies and her maltese puppies.
She has a dazzling smile and wicked sense of humour.
